Warm Legs
If you are sitting at home watching TV or reading a book the chances are that you are nice and warm - including your legs.
If you aren't, then you can put a blanket over your legs, or turn the heating up.
If however you are travelling to work, out shopping or at work and its just not warm enough, then the options
for getting warm are less.
If you are wearing a skirt or dress, what are your options for getting your legs warm?
Tights
Made of a thin material (normally lycra or nylon), tights cover your legs from toe upwards to the waist. Coming in
different thicknesses (measured in 'Denier') and colours, tights are the most common form of hosiery.
Stockings
These are the original form of tights before technology allowed tights to be created in one piece. Stocks are
a tube of lycra or nylon with one stocking for each leg covering from the toe to upper thigh. Stockings require
suspenders which is similar to a belt around your waist with straps that hang down with two straps attaching onto
each stocking to stop if falling down.
Holdups
Similar to stockings, holdups have elasticated tops to grip the thigh - eliminating the need to have suspenders.
Woollen Tights
Commonly worn by girls in primary school, woollen tights are a thick soft material that will
cut out the chill on winter days.....
Knee-highs and socks
Not the most attractive of options to keep your legs warm, but knee-highs can be worn under trousers or
can sometimes be seen worn by young women who lack a certain fashion sense.
